KAT'S KRITTER KARE

How We Work

Your service starts with a phone call and an initial consultation is set up approximately 4-5 days prior to your departure. During the call you will be asked what types of pets will be needing care, how many there are and how many visits per day will be needed. You will of course need to inform the sitter of your departure and return dates at this time as well.

The meeting will comprise of the pet sitter meeting with you, meeting and interacting with the pets and going over all contracts, policies and guidelines. All Pet and home care details will be discussed and your pet sits are scheduled accordingly.

The interview will take about 1 hour and all the meetings are done with Kat. During this hour the sitter will need to have your full and complete attention. Please schedule this time like you would any other business meeting. The care and needs of your animals are our first priority.

If a contractor pet sitter will be caring for your pets, a short "meet and greet" can be scheduled. All associate pet sitters are background checked through ADP Screening and each individual is trained by Kat's Kritter kare on all aspects of home pet care.

Your Service

Your Personal Pet Sitter will arive and during the visit time, your pets are played with, loved, cuddled and talked to. The sitter will leave 'Pet Notes' for you each visit, like a brief journal, so you know how and what your animals did while you were away.

Special needs pets are 'always' a priority, all quality pet care is administered promptly and the utmost care is taken with medicinal injections. Your pets will be fed, watered, all litter boxes cleaned as well as clean up of cages or accidental messes in the house.

Select home care is also included in your quality pet sitting services. Your mail and newspapers along with any package deliveries left at the door will be brought in, lights are turned on and off in various rooms for added security in the appearance of occupancy. In addition, indoor plants can be watered and your trash taken out and brought back in on pick-up day.

How often is my pet visited?

Details regarding visits will be discussed with you during your initial consultation and decided on then. The amount of visits required is determined by many factors such as medications or special treatments, how many and what type of pets you have along with time of year and how/if pets are confined and have pet doors to the outside.

What happens when I get home?

When returning from a trip, contacting your Pet Sitter to notify them that you are home should be made a top priority, this lets the pet sitter know that you are taking over the care of your pets. If your pet sitter does not hear from, your pet sitting services will continue as previously scheduled and will be charged at the applicable current rates.

If you happen to be stranded due to airport delays, bad weather or other reasons that delay your return home, you can be assured that your pets will not be abandoned and care will not be suspended. Please make every attempt to contact the pet sitter by phone or email immediately if a problem arises so you're sitter is properly informed of the situation.
